Jeff Koons

Jeff Koons
Tulips (1995–2004) consists of a bouquet of multicolor balloon flowers blown up to gargantuan proportions (more than 2 m (6.6 ft) tall and 5 m (16 ft) across).

Described to be one of the most complex and largest sculptures in the Celebration series which explores the concept of child-like innocence, the Koons’ Tulips created in 5 unique versions impressively represents a bouquet of twisted balloon flowers.
Further, the sculpture’s gleaming surface and vivid color palette reflect both the viewer and itself, resulting in a kaleidoscope of color and near infinite reflections. Notably, the Tulip creates the sensation of weightlessness but is paradoxically heavy, employing more than 3 tons of meticulously sculpted stainless steel.
