Dayanita Signh

Dayanita Singh
black and white Photography
Worldwide stored knowledge of past times in archives. Many of them are far from a digitization. The designer and photographer Dayanita Singh has documented over decades the archives of government agencies, courts and other official institutions of India. Shelves that bend under the weight of bureaucracy and linen bags filled with historical documents show the old face of data storage. Singh’s photographs will be in the German Pavilion at the Biennale of Venice issued.
The upper shelves can only be reached by a ladder.
